Terms of Service

SignalIntel is a UK-based B2B intelligence service operated by a sole trader under the trading name SignalIntel.

SignalIntel analyses public and lawfully obtained business information to help business customers identify potential commercial opportunities and relevant professional contacts.

SignalIntel is intended for business and professional use. By creating an account, you confirm that you are using the service wholly or mainly for purposes connected with a business, trade or profession.

The service is not intended to be purchased primarily for personal, family or household use.

You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your SignalIntel account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login credentials and for activity carried out through your account.

You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

Accounts may not be sold, transferred or shared with unrelated third parties without our permission.

SignalIntel may provide features including:

• business opportunity detection;
• public business-signal analysis;
• company intelligence and enrichment;
• opportunity matching and prioritisation;
• AI-generated summaries, classifications and scores;
• professional decision-maker identification;
• business contact enrichment where available; and
• opportunity alerts and notifications.

Features may change as the service develops. We may add, remove or modify functionality where reasonably necessary to improve, secure or operate the service.

SignalIntel uses information obtained from public sources and third-party data providers. Sources may include company registers, business websites, job advertisements, news, procurement notices, company announcements and professional data services.

Third-party information can be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate or subsequently changed. SignalIntel does not control the accuracy or continued availability of third-party sources.

You should independently verify important information before making significant commercial, financial, legal or operational decisions.

SignalIntel uses automated systems and artificial intelligence to classify business signals, summarise information, estimate relevance and prioritise potential opportunities.

AI-generated content may occasionally be incomplete, inaccurate or misleading. Scores, classifications, summaries and suggested opportunities are indicators designed to assist business research, not guaranteed statements of fact.

You remain responsible for reviewing information and deciding whether an opportunity is suitable for your business.

SignalIntel does not guarantee that:

• a detected company actually requires your services;
• a professional contact will respond to you;
• an opportunity will result in a meeting, contract or sale;
• a particular number of opportunities will be generated;
• every relevant market opportunity will be detected; or
• information from third-party or public sources will always be complete or current.

Commercial results depend on many factors outside SignalIntel's control, including your offer, pricing, positioning, outreach, sales process and market conditions.

Eligible new customers may receive a 14-day free trial where this is offered during signup.

A valid payment method is required to start the trial. No subscription fee is charged at the start of the trial unless otherwise clearly stated at checkout.

Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to a paid monthly subscription at the price displayed when you subscribed.

The current SignalIntel Founding Plan is offered at £99 per month where that price is displayed during checkout.

Free trials are limited to one per customer account unless we expressly agree otherwise. Creating additional accounts to obtain repeated free trials is not permitted.

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis using the payment method provided through Stripe.

By starting a paid subscription or allowing a free trial to convert to a paid subscription, you authorise recurring charges at the price and billing frequency shown at checkout.

Prices displayed include or exclude applicable taxes as stated at checkout. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase where legally required.

We may change subscription pricing in the future. Any change to your existing recurring price will be communicated in advance where required and will not take effect retrospectively.

You may cancel your subscription through the billing controls provided in SignalIntel or by contacting support where necessary.

If you cancel during an eligible free trial before the first paid billing date, your subscription will not convert to the paid plan.

If you cancel a paid subscription, cancellation will normally take effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless otherwise stated.

You will normally retain access until the effective cancellation date, subject to these Terms.

Subscription fees already charged are generally non-refundable for business customers except where required by law or where we expressly agree otherwise.

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, contact support@signalintel.tech promptly so that we can investigate.

If a subscription payment fails, we or our payment provider may retry the payment.

Access to paid SignalIntel features may be restricted, suspended or disabled while a payment remains overdue.

You remain responsible for valid subscription charges incurred before cancellation or termination.

You must not use SignalIntel to:

• break any applicable law or regulation;
• send unlawful unsolicited marketing communications;
• harass, threaten or deceive individuals or businesses;
• facilitate fraud, impersonation or other dishonest activity;
• obtain or use personal information for unlawful discriminatory purposes;
• make employment, credit, insurance, housing or similarly significant decisions about individuals;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to SignalIntel systems, accounts or data;
• interfere with the availability, security or performance of the service;
• use automated means to scrape or extract substantial parts of the SignalIntel platform without our written permission;
• reproduce, resell or create a competing database from SignalIntel data or outputs; or
• circumvent subscription, usage, security or access controls.

SignalIntel provides business intelligence. It does not give you automatic legal permission to contact every individual or business appearing in the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of contact information and any marketing or sales outreach complies with all laws and regulations applicable to you.

For UK outreach this may include, where applicable, the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.

You are responsible for selecting an appropriate lawful basis, providing required privacy information, respecting objections and opt-outs, maintaining suppression records where appropriate and complying with electronic-marketing rules.

SignalIntel and its original software, platform design, branding, matching logic, workflows and other proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to the operator of SignalIntel.

Your subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own internal business purposes while your account remains authorised.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of SignalIntel intellectual property to you.

Third-party and public-source information remains subject to any rights, licences and restrictions that apply to those sources.

You retain ownership of business profile information and other content that you submit to SignalIntel.

You grant us permission to process that information as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain and improve the service.

You confirm that you have the right to provide information that you submit to SignalIntel.

Each party should take reasonable steps to protect confidential information received from the other party and should not disclose it except where necessary to provide or use the service, where authorised, or where disclosure is required by law.

We aim to keep SignalIntel available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, third-party outages, security incidents, internet failures or events outside our reasonable control.

We may perform maintenance or make technical changes where reasonably necessary.

SignalIntel depends on third-party providers and data sources, which may include hosting, databases, authentication, artificial intelligence, payment processing, email delivery and business data services.

Third-party services may change, become unavailable or experience outages. We are not responsible for matters caused solely by a third party that are outside our reasonable control.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary if:

• you materially breach these Terms;
• subscription fees remain unpaid;
• your use creates a security or legal risk;
• we reasonably suspect fraud or serious abuse;
• continued provision would breach law or a binding regulatory requirement; or
• the SignalIntel service is permanently discontinued.

Where appropriate and reasonably possible, we will give you an opportunity to remedy a breach before permanent termination.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to the above, SignalIntel will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, loss of goodwill or loss arising from a decision made solely in reliance on unverified SignalIntel intelligence.

Subject to liabilities that cannot legally be limited, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service during any 12-month period will not exceed the total subscription fees actually paid by you to SignalIntel during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for losses, claims or costs arising from your unlawful use of SignalIntel, including unlawful marketing, misuse of personal information or a material breach of the Acceptable Use provisions.

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to SignalIntel, applicable law, security requirements or our commercial arrangements.

Material changes affecting an existing paid subscription will be communicated where reasonably appropriate or legally required.

The latest version will always be available on this page.

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising in connection with these Terms, subject to any mandatory legal rights that apply.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

A delay in enforcing a right under these Terms does not mean that right has been waived.

You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written permission. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a legitimate transfer, restructuring or sale of the SignalIntel business, subject to applicable law.
